I wanna travel round NZ, any good companys or info I should know? - hostels nz

I am 22 and plan to travel to New Zealand for about 2-3 months a year (I expect September) by the end of December, but do not know where to start to find the best price and how .... Lot of money to be saved (of course, the more the better, but I'm in a budget hotels to 5 * not for me)

I want a stop over in Malaysia, Singapore and pop for a week (ISH), and then spend most of their time in New Zealand back (return hostels) box, then take a week in Sydney. Then, back to London for Christmas .....

Can someone me a good travel agent for flights and travel information for New Zealand (I think the bus or train, because I can not drive and do not occasionally think Inbetween)

Just some general advice for Transport would be appriciated.
